Etching

Daniel Chaput - Project 1 - Etching

This is an image of a tiger that has been edited and pasted on a custom design made by me which can be viewed here. The image is supposed to appear as an etched drawing. Concept art for this image.

To make this image, I first had to create a background for the image to lay on top of. To do that, I filled the screen with squares. The original, unedited design with just the squares can be viewed here, as well as the rest of the concept art, which has been linked above. Once the squares were all in place, I experimented with various filters and made various other edits to the bare design until I settled on a design that I liked. Once I had a design I liked, I had chose a picture to lay on top of the design. I chose a picture of a tiger. After that, I edited the picture to be completely black and white, then I took out all the white completely, leaving just the outline of the image. I then put this outline overtop of the custom design, creating the image you see above.
