Barack Obama Hope Poster
This image was created by Shepard Fairey to support the 2008 Obama campaign. The piece shows a drawing of Obama using primarily red, beige and two shades of blue. This image uses various of the principles of media art. To start, it definitely uses hybridization through the cartoony design and the use of a few easily distinguishable colours. These elements create a very unique style of portrait. This image also uses the principle of point of view as the face is being looked up at at a slight angle.
I personally think this is a great and very iconic image.
