Card Design #1 –

The first card is a birthday card. The cake on the table is supposed to be a simple, recognizable design that everyone will associate with a birthday. The quote is just supposed to be a simple, funny statement relating to the picture. The typeface was chosen because the stylization and serifs give it a playful looking design. The card was partially inspired by the movie Up.

Card Design #2 –

This card is a thank you card. It is supposed to be a collection of small, simple shapes, resembling confetti. In addition to confetti, this card was inspired by other cards that have similarly abstract polka dot designs. The typeface is a very simple sans serif font. The text is intentionally simple so that it doesn’t clash with the rest of the cards simple design.
